The weather (Nov-Dec 2010)
When it started snowing on Friday last week (26/Nov) we thought “wow, snow, and it’s settling”. Great excitement as we don’t get much snow in Edinburgh.
A week later and we’ve had a foot or so of snow outside all week and it’s been bitterly cold. The novelty has definitely worn off.
Some photos
Dark skies, more snow on the way
This is about as much of our car as we've seen all week - 28/Nov
Some young folk built a snowman across the street, needed a ladder! - 30/Nov
Snow on the trees, gardens and church across the street - 30/Nov
It was -13c last night, any water dripping off the edge of the snow on the roof has frozen pretty quickly - 03/Dec

Also, some bits of video not by us:
- snow avalanche from Scottish Widows building in central Edinburgh
- skiing on Arthur’s Seat for the first time ever there was an avalanche warning for Arthur’s Seat
- clearing snow from the roof (not sure if the BBC will let you see this outside of UK)
